Frequently Asked Questions
Do I keep 100% ownership of my music?
Yes. You retain 100% of your copyright and master recording rights. We simply act as your distributor to get your music onto the platforms. You can walk away anytime.
How long does it take for my music to go live?
We recommend uploading your release at least 2 weeks prior to your target release date to ensure it goes live across all platforms simultaneously. However, some major platforms (like Spotify and Apple Music) move quicker. Expect rush releases to go live in 5-7 business days.
How much does it cost?
Pay one time. Your music stays live forever without sneaky recurring fees.
Artist plan for 1 band or artist is $59.95. Unlimited releases.
Label plan for entities with more than one band or artist is $99.95. Unlimited releases and unlimited roster size.
Both plans include music video distribution to Vevo, Apple Music, Facebook, Instagram, Tidal, Spotify, Amazon Music & others in our network!
How and when do I get paid?
Streaming platforms typically report earnings 2-3 months after the streams occur. Once reported by the DSPs, funds are immediately added to your JooseDistro wallet. You keep 100% of the royalties paid out by the streaming platforms and digital downloads. You can withdraw your balance via PayPal or bank transfer once you hit the minimum payout threshold of $50.
Can I upload cover songs?
Yes, but you must obtain the proper mechanical licenses to distribute a cover song legally on platforms that don't cover it directly (like Spotify and Apple Music). We offer guidance and streamlined processes on how to secure these licenses in your dashboard.
Can I release music that contains regenerative AI elements?
Yes if you created the music with Suno. You will be required to attach a Suno link or receipt to your release in the distribution dashboard.
Can I release music with beats that are leased from online producers?
Yes. You will need to attach a copy of the beat license with your release. These releases will not be eligible for Content ID, but they can be released everywhere else like Spotify and Apple Music.
I purchased commercial rights to release music with a verse from well-known features. Other distributors blocked my release. Can I release with Joose Distro?
Yes. You will need to attach a copy of the license you paid for when you purchased the feature. Make sure your signature appears on the lease as well.
